Answer Yes all year round.

Answer No, the school is non-selective in its intake, however other admissions criteria do apply.
Question Is the Leaving Certificate recognised in United Kingdom ?
Answer Yes it is recognised.  Applications to UK universities are made mainly through UCAS
Question Is there an entrance age for Sligo Grammar School?
Answer The pupil must be 12 by the end of December on the year of entry.
Question Are the text books provided by the school?
Answer No they are available in local bookshops.  Relevant book lists are provided by the school.
Question Is there a Career Guidance Programme in Sligo Grammar School?
Answer Yes there is a Careers Guidance Programme in the School.
Question What happens if foreign parents wish to enrol their children in the school?
Answer  Parents or legal guardians living abroad must appoint a representative in Ireland to whom the pupil may be sent in emergencies or other circumstances
Question  Our son is very good in sports and in mathematics but is just intermediate level in English as it is not his "mother tongue". He probably needs some time to adapt himself to lessons through English. Is help available?
Answer There are TEFL (English as a Foreign Language) classes for foreign students to improve their English.  An extra charge applies for these classes.
