On Friday 30th April the LCPE (Leaving Cert. Physical Education) class in Sligo Grammar School took part in a workshop dealing with disability awareness and inclusion in sport. The workshop was delivered by Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership as part of its Sports Inclusion Disability Project. This project aims to increase participation by people with disability in sport and activity. The workshop was part of the new LCPE course in Sligo Grammar School. During the two years the students will explore many aspects of physical education, and the issues surrounding inclusion in activity are part of their studies. The students found the day very interesting, so a big “thank you” to SSRP for the excellent workshop. The first LCPE class will do the Leaving Cert in 2022.
