Valedictory Celebration 2018

Posted on : May 18, 2018

On Friday 18th May,  our Leaving Cert students said their official farewell to  SGS. The Valedictory Celebration was held at 7pm in Calry Church. The students,  their parents and guardians as well as their teachers joined together to mark the end of their time in Sligo Grammar School. Earlier in the day there was a special assembly for the whole school when the Leaving Certs said goodbye to the rest of their fellow students and teachers. This was followed by a special breakfast for the class of 2018 and later by  the traditional soccer match between the 6th years and the staff. This year the students won 2-1.  The Leaving Certs go into study hall for two weeks in preparation for the state exams. We wish them all the best in the Leaving Cert. See some photos HERE
