SGS Open Evening

Posted on : October 20, 2017

On Wednesday 11th October Sligo Grammar School held an open evening for primary school students and their parents. Staff and students of SGS stayed in the school until 9pm to welcome the visitors. Different subject departments opened up their rooms for the evening conducting workshops, hosting displays and giving talks about their subject areas. The young visitors were given a chance to try their hands at the sports they would encounter in SGS and all got a chance to try out some of the practical subjects such as art. About 300 people came to the open evening,  the last ones leaving around 9pm.The children really enjoyed the experience of seeing what life is like in Sligo Grammar School. Perhaps we’ll see some of the next September! See some of the photos from the evening HERE.
