Jordan Larmour visits SGS

Posted on : October 10, 2023

Monday 9th October saw a surprise visitor to Sligo Grammar School. Jordan Larmour, Leinster and Irish International Rugby player, came to the school to meet our rugby players, both boys and girls squads. The visit was arranged by past-pupil Charlie Donaghy, who is a member of SGS 3rds, a group of people who support rugby in the school. Jordan’s visit caused great excitement among the school’s rugby players. He spent one hour with the girls, passing on some tips to the payers. He got involved in the drills and helped out the coaches Tadhg Power and Stanley Hunter. He then got stuck in with the Senior Boy’s squad, running some back plays and giving a few tips to the backs. He was impressed with the standard and skill level of the players and wished them well in their quest for the 3-in-a-row in both the Connacht Senior League and Cup. Thanks to Charlie Donaghy for organising the visit and to all the players and coaches who turned out to welcome him. SEE SOME PHOTOS HERE
