During the Easter holidays two of our first year girls, Sophie Reynolds and Maebh McLoughlin, came second in the Junior Girls All-Ireland Golf Competition. The girls had won the Connacht Shield earlier in the year and, so, on Monday 29th April they travelled to Milltown Golf Club in Dublin to compete in the All Ireland competition. The Sligo girls were used to playing out of County Sligo Golf Club in Rosses Point, a links course, so Sophie and Maebh dealt with the challenge of the parkland course brilliantly. Congratulations and well done to the girls and hopefully it’s just the start of a successful golfing future!!
