The Hermitage - The Girls Boarding House
The House parents look after the house and the welfare of the Borders. They deals with any problems that may arise and try to keep everybody happy. Most members of the teaching staff are involved in supervising the house on a rota basis.
| The staff on duty are assisted by a very cheerful and able group of House Prefects who help co-ordinate getting boarders to the right place on time. They play a very valuable role in the dorms where they keep an eye on the younger girls and "TLC" (tender, loving care!) is available if the need arises. |

Matrons main surgery operates from the girls house. There is a matron on duty 7 days a week 24 hours a day. There is always a doctor on call and for emergencies the hospital is only 2 minutes away. |
Every so often the House Parents organise trips away on Saturdays. Recently these have included a trip to Derry shopping and a trip to Belfast for Ice-Skating and Post-Christmas Sales shopping.
| Dorms are arranged by years and are split up into cubicles. There is one dorm downstairs and four upstairs. Depending on numbers two years usually share, either first and second or third and fourth. In junior dorms there is also a prefect who has their own cubicle. |
