Class of 2022 Valedictory Service

On Thursday 19th May the class of 2022 celebrated their last day of class.  In the morning the sixth years were treated to breakfast in the dining hall followed by the now traditional Students/Staff soccer match. This year victory went to the Staff! A game of rounders  was also played and, again, the Staff team came out on top. Senior Cup Champions 2022

After a long hard season of rugby, Sligo Grammar School Senior Cup Team brought home the silverware on Tuesday 15th March. In a cold and wet Galway the SGS team met Coláiste Iognáid (Jes) Galway to battle it out in the Final of the Connacht Schools Senior Rugby Cup.  The Jes got off to a strong start with a converted try bringing the score to 7–0. International Women’s Day at SGS

International Women’s Day did not go unmarked in Sligo Grammar School this year! Throughout the day activities, displays and celebrations were held to mark the contribution of women to the life of the school – and the country. TY Ski Trip

This year the TYs got away on their Ski Trip and spent a fantastic week in Italy. The destination was Santa Caterina Valfurva in the North of the country, and the TYs enjoyed some great snow for the trip. Irish Angus Beef Competition 2022

Again this year Sligo Grammar School TY students have entered the Irish Angus Beef Schools Competition. There are three stages to complete before the final competitors are selected. In stage one the students submitted videos presenting their project ideas, and following this, two SGS groups have progressed to the second stage of the competition.
