This weekend the crews head to the capital where Trinity Regatta takes place on the river Liffey in the heart of Dublin. The National Schools Regatta took place in Limerick at the end of April and showcased a total of 77 schools from all across the island of Ireland. The Sligo Grammar boys raced together in the U23 double scull category and also raced in their respective singles category. The Garavogue River was host to one of the first regattas of the season – Sligo Rowing Clubs regatta took place on Saturday 18th April. The three-lane course covered a distance of 800 meters allowing for some excellent sprint racing. Close to 500 athletes from all over the West and North of Ireland participated. There were large entries from clubs like Enniskillen Royal Boat Club, Athlone, Carrick-on-Shannon and St. Josephs Secondary School (The Bish) Galway. The Grammar had 5 students entered

Huge congratulations to our U16 girls who won the Connacht Junior Cup on Thursday last, 4th December at UoG sports grounds in Galway. The team captained by Myrtle Bamber and ably assisted by Emily Dunne produced two excellent performances in back to back matches, winning both the semi-final and final on penalty shuttles. Goalkeeper, Aoibheann Jenkins, was the hero of the day saving 8 out of the 9 penalty shuttles
