Sligo Schools Rowing Competition

The Grammar Rowing Club had 20 students competing at the Sligo Schools Rowing Competition which took place in the ATU yesterday. 
 
Congratulations to Adam Foley, the fastest rower and overall winner of the event. Adam won the event with an average speed of 1.39 per 500m giving him a grand total of 1511 meters for the 5 minute test.
 
Ronan Mullan also made it to the podium with a result of 1427 meters placing him third. Other notable results were a win for Euan Cradock in the U16 event while Ben Foley came third in this event.
 
In the girls event there was a podium finish for Sophie Treacy in the U16 event. There was also several wins in the team events including a first and second place result for the Leaving Cert boys in the U18 event and a win for the first years in the U14 boys event. Also podium finishes for the U16 boys event and U16 girls event.
