€8,051 Raised for North West Hospice

This term the Transition Year class raised an incredible €8,051 for the North West Hospice as a result of the 5km walk/run which took place at Doorly Park on Saturday 14th May. The aim of this fundraiser was to create awareness of the work the Hospice does in our community and contribute to that priceless work.  The TYs were joined by students from other years as well as staff and friends of SGS, and they set up an “i donate” page to make it easy for everyone to sponsor the runners/walkers. The day itself was sunny and warm and a lot of students, staff, parents, friends and past pupils came along and made the morning a very social event. Thanks to all the students and staff  who got involved and especially to Mr Giblin and Ms. Reddy who organised the event, and well done on raising such a huge sum for such a good cause.
