When the Past Pupils Association was formed in 1966, it had two objectives in mind;
1. To keep former pupils in touch with the school and one another.
2. To maintain a permanent Association with a close interest in the present and future welfare of the School. (Taken from the rules of the Association)
At an Extraordinary General Meeting of the committee on 22nd November 2016, a motion was passed to change the name of the Sligo Grammar School & High School Past Pupils Association to Sligo Grammar School Alumni.
With our newly formed committee we look forward to planning new events.

2025 Reunion – Save the Date
The Sligo Grammar School Alumni Reunion will take place on 13th September 2025.
This event provides a great opportunity for those past pupils celebrating their 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, etc. years reunion to get together again. So that’s the classes of 2015, 2005, 1995, 1985, 1975, 1965, etc. The reunion is open to all years so any alumni can attend, even if it is not one the groups above.
On the day
2 pm. Meet and Greet at the School for tea/coffee and a tour of the school.
7 pm. Dinner at Sligo Park Hotel . €55 for a 3 course dinner, (dinner at 8pm). Please book early as we have to provide numbers for the Hotel in advance. To book a place, contact us via email (alumni@sligogrammarschool.org ) and let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
Hotel
There is a limited number of double/twin rooms at a reduced rate for Alumni on the night. Mention SGS Alumni when booking with the hotel.
