Completion of 1st Year Application Form for Sligo Grammar School does not constitute an application to us.
In compliance with Government legislation, we can no longer hold waiting lists for 1st Year or take 1st Year applications prior to the official 2-week on-line application window in October/November, which is approximately 10 months before the Academic year start date. However, we do hold Expression of Interest lists for 1st Year so that we can contact interested parents to let them know when applications are posted on-line and to extend an invitation to our Open Day.
For all other years, we will contact you regarding the application process on receipt of a completed Expression of Interest form.
Please note that we do not accept new students into 3rd or 6th Year.

PLEASE NOTE our First Year Application Form will be enabled for two weeks from the day after our Open Evening (during October/November each year). The date of our Open Evening for the current school year is 13th November 2025 – First Year Applications Open from 13th – 27th November 2025.
