On October 22nd, the Young Social Innovators group from TY organised a whole-school Fancy Dress Day. The day was a huge success with the students raising over €1000 for Pieta House. This very worthy charity works with people who are experiencing mental health issues, and is especially known for its fantastic work with young people. The whole school turned out to support the fundraiser and there was a great air of fun and enjoyment around the school. Teachers got involved too, turning out in some fantastic costumes! There were prizes awarded to the best dressed in Junior School and in Senior School as well as a prize for the best teacher costume and the best costume from the YSI group. It was a great up-beat way to end the first term, which was difficult enough for students and staff. Well done to the organisers from TY and to their teacher Ms Stinson.
