Several TY students became involved with the launch of the launch of Sligo as a Fair Trade town.  A very successful sale of Fair trade goods was held in the school.  All this has raised awareness in the school.

Operation Christmas Child

This year 4th year once again took part in Operation Christmas Child. This benefit, which is organized to bring hope and joy to millions of disadvantaged children across the world at Christmas, works in conjunction with Samaritan’s Purse. It urges students and others alike to prepare a simple shoe box, decorated in Christmas spirit, with toys novelties and other gifts inside. These are then received by those whose lives have been blighted by poverty, war and ill health.
