Our Irish musical group got through to the semi-final of the Senior Gael Linn competition on the 2nd of February. This is the first time this has happened since last year, in which we won the All-Ireland.

 

 

 

 

Seachtain na Gaeilge

 

 

 

This year's Irish Week was a big success.

We had the annual Fainne interviews (right) in which we had many gold and silver Fainnes given to students!

 

 

 

 

 

 We had the Poster competition, in which SGS students produced some great pictures!!! 

Some of them had poems on them.......

...while others were just plain colourful!!!

 Congratulations to the students who won this year's Irish Bingo.

 

 

 The Gaelic match was held at St. Mary's. We had two teams, which were drawn at random.

Mr. Gavin was the referee and the match was organised by Mrs. O'Donnell.

 

In one of our assemblys during Seachtain na Geailge we had a couple of presentations run by Grammar students. Congrats to both of you!

We also had our Irish music group Teaspach, who played a short music piece.

 

The Feis Shligigh took place on the 21st of March. This is a competition in Irish. We also had the Irish Comhra competition, which is a competition of Irish conversations.
